Function Of Petroleum Unit

1-Protect,Follow&confirm the Entitlements of both GOSS and OIL Producing Southern States from

production of southern wells

2-Transfer of the proceeds to GOSS & oil producing southern states accounts respectively

To achieve the above Functions The unit performs the following activities

1- Observing of the monthly production in the whole sudan

2-Observing of monthly Gov. Entitlement and Lifting(i.e. export of the entitlement)

3-Calculation of GOV. Net oil Revenue

4-Ascertaining of GOSS percentage share out of the total production

5-Calculation of Goss Revenue from both local refining and exoprt crude oil

6-Calculation of 2% due to oil production states from net Gov. Revenue available for distribution

7-Calculation of oil Revenue Stabilization accounts (ORSA)

8-Preparation of monthly report as well as quarter Yearly reports

9-Liaison with its counter part in the ministry of Finance& National Economy

10-Perfoming the day to day secretariat work for the Joint Committee for Monitoring Net Oil Revenue
